MAINTENANCE & REGULATIONS
Having a planned maintenance contract significantly reduces the chances of having a product breakdown.
Wear and tear can be identified before breakdowns occur, this will ensure the product is working and performing at its optimum level. Preferential rates for repairs are given when you use Advanced Doors for the maintenance of your doors.
To enable you to meet with safety requirements, we take on the responsibility of logging the location and door type, as well as keeping up to date information on due servicing.
Advanced Doors will also provide you with a detailed breakdown of the work carried out in the form of a written report, and a clear competitive quotation will be given for any further work that may be required.
The workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 stipulate that all workplaces must comply with the following…
Regulation 5 (Maintenance of workplace, and of equipment, devices and systems).
“The workplace and the equipment, devices and systems to which this regulation applies shall be maintained (including cleaned as appropriate) in an efficient state, in efficient working order and in good repair.
Where appropriate, the equipment, devices and systems to which this regulation applies shall be subject to a suitable system of maintenance.”
Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 / Machinery Directive – 2006 / 42 / EC
As of 29th December 2009 users of newly installed machinery must carry out a risk assessment of machinery in the workplace, covering its operational use, setting up and maintenance of the machinery, in accordance with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER).
